Living in the Garden

 Everywhere I look there are butterflies dancing through the air or supping from the flowers.

Some of our nocturnal visitors aren't quite as pretty.

and there are hitchhikers coming in from the vegetable garden.

As the sun came over the hill yesterday morning it highlighted the many different grasses and thistles in the paddock next to my house.

Paper Wasp Nest

I didn't realise how long it has been since I put any photos in here. I have been busy with other things and time has just slipped away.

It has always amazed me at the abilities of birds, animals and insects when they come to create their homes. We pulled this Paper Wasp nest off the house today. 

Spring!!!

In a matter of a few days  the garden is shedding it's Winter clothes and putting on the first of it's Spring collection.  There are flower buds and delicate new leaves everywhere you look. 

 Cato decided she was going to be in at least one photo today.

Somewhere not too far away there are Ducklings about to hatch, maybe they already have?
